Good afternoon all!

A friend and I (both 24) are visiting Toronto for 15 days (25th June - 11th July) and would like some expert advice and tips from you experienced pro's! We are staying on Widmer so hopefully not far from the party on Canada day.

Any must see's, must do's and must go's would be great. We're both open to anything, museums, bars, resturants, clubs, sports, activities etc...basically anything goes.

Would really appreciate some ideas so we can research things before we arrive.

Cannot wait!

Thanks in advance

The ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) is the best in Canada

The Toronto islands are great for a nice day out. Bring a frisbee and play frisbeee golf if you want.

The Only Cafe on the Danforth and Donlands is an excellent place to get into a discussion about anything from Van Morrison to the state of the world.

Thanks Pie. Yeah I have heard some good things about the ROM so that is going on the list.

Any more suggestions out there?

Visit Wonderland! So it's not exactly the height of all thing cultural, but its a wicked theme park! If you're into that sort of thing. As for Canada Day, there's a party, but I've heard its not too big in Toronto. If you want a real celebration, drive down to Ottawa for a couple of days! We're the capital, so we party it up good with fireworks displays, concerts, drinking, and beavertails!!

Thanks again guys. Didn't know there was a theme park in Toronto so that is definitely on the list too! Ottawa's also one to consider, only problem would be travel/accommodation as we already have two weeks accommodation booked in Toronto, but hey, hostels are cheap as chips!

Cheers again, looking forward to it so much!

There are many great things to do in Toronto and I'm sure you will be able to keep busy for your entire stay. If you like shopping you have Sherway Gardens just outside of downtown, Queen St. downtown which is a great street full of shops and dining, and The Eaton Center is a great mall located on Queen St. as well. The Blue Jays may be playing during your stay so that is something you may want to check out. If you are into comedy Yuk Yuks or Second City have some great performances, I would personally recommend Second City though. Just walking around downtown there is much to discover and I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info jats, will sure check out Second City and I think we have a Blue Jays game penciled in. Think we have a fair bit planned now so I'm sure we will have more then enough to do and to go with the flow at the same time.

Cant wait now, cheers for all your help guys!

I envy you a Jays game....It's been a long time since I seen one at home...How long? My last one was in Exhibition Stadium!

Though I've seen one in Yankee Stadium (Gak! Gone, too!) And a few in Safeco Field.

Hehe, yeah they are playing the Phillies and Tampa Bay Ray's while we are there so we will be going to see them on one of the days. Would have liked to have seen Toronto FC also but they are away while we are there, just miss them Vs LA Galaxy grr.
