Hi,
I plan to travel to Rome during Easter (9th-13th March). Plan to cover Vatican city as well. Am looking for travel companions for that trip.

Arun:

Don't you mean April? I will be in Rome April 1-11, leaving Easter Week for Paris (April 11-18), then back to Rome the night of the 18th and heading to Florence for a week. If you are arriving in Rome April 9th, our trips will cross for a few days and I wouldn't mind meeting up when you get there. I am an American female (40's), traveling alone. PM me if interested.

Anyone else heading to Rome or Paris during this period feel free to PM as well.

Of course. I mean April. Thanks for correcting that crackmuse.
Am likely to reach Rome on 9th Night. Plan to sightsee Rome and Vatican City on 10th, 11th & 12th and back to London on 13th. I'd definitely like to catch up? Do you have an itinerary in place for Rome? Have you decided what to cover, how to spend time etc?

Arun

It looks like we will only be there at the same time Friday and Saturday. I have no itinerary for those days so I would be up for joining you. I will have already been there for two weeks, so I should know my way around the monuments by then. I will not have gone to Vatican City though, so we could definitely do that if the schedule works. Because the 10th is Good Friday, I am expecting the entire city to be a mad house. I will PM you with my email and you PM me with yours so we can try to work something out.

Yes, I wanted to ask you how comfortable you'll be with repeat visits? I plan to cover most of Rome and a whole day at Vatican City, plus a day on the beach near Fiumicino (if time permits, of course) in the 3 days that I'm there. I havent booked tickets or a place to stay yet but I plan to reach there on 9th night and return to London on 13th evening. But as you say, we can try and work something out. I'll keep you posted on my itinerary.

I just sent you an email. I answered it before I saw your post here, so I didn't address the repeat visit issue. To answer your question, how could anyone tire of repeating Rome? It's just not possible. I might not want to do EVERYTHING again (especially on Good Friday which might make it tough), but certainly some places. Vatican City is a definite yes.
