Hola!

Im going to stop in La Paz a couple of days in a months time (beg. april 09).

Ive read a book by an earlier inmate of the san pedro prison and find myself very facinated. From what I understand there are no official tours, but it is possible to get in and get a tour by one of the inmates.

Does anyone know/have any experience with this??

thanks :) :)

I went there in January, one of the most memorable places ive ever been. I would definitely recommend going: we went to San Pedro square and a woman came up to us asking if we wanted to go on the tour. Its pretty pricey by Bolivian standards $40 US for about 2 hours but it was money well spent! Make sure you take your camera and some sweets for the kids that live there. Probably the best thing i did in Bolivia, enjoy!
