I'm going to move over from Germany to New Mexico on May for the next 2 years. Right now, I'm sitting in a lonely hotel trying to figure out, if there are some peoples who wants to make weekend-city trips across the USA. I'm 25 years old and open minded for new challenges and ideas.
I'm not sure, if this forum is the right place to ask for travel buddies for this kind of trips. So please let me know, if you any connections or advices to me. Thanks a lot!
And please, let me know if you want to start exploring the cities of USA.
I'm looking forward for your answers!
Hello Severin. Welcome to the US. I would recommend finding your local Hostel and see if there is anyone there that would like to take trips. There usually are a lot of likeminded individuals who are from Europe. You can look on Hostels.com website for forums. I was just on there and there are quite a few people looking for travel partners. Even though you are male I would still be cautious on who you are going to travel with.
New Mexico is centrally located so a weekend trip isn't out of the question. Looking at the map there are tons of places for you to see. I don't think you told what area of NM you will be in. Colorado is north with a lot of skiing and snowboarding. To the West is Las Vegas. A little longer than a weekend would be San Diego or LA. To the East is Texas. There is always Mexico if you have the proper identification. Good luck and happy travels! Kim
Thank you very much for this information.
Right now, i exactly have the problem of getting in contact with communities / peoples. Thanks for the Hostel.com tip.
My area is near to Texas. Almost a bunch of miles away. The airport which supports line flights to all big cities in US is less than an hour away. Thats, and of course my job, leads me to weekend trips.
