I had experienced an awful situation. A young handsome man had at last plucked up courage to invite me out to dinner. I had accepted him invitation and I could feel that he was overjoyed then. He took me to the best restaurant in our town, even if it meant that he would have to spend almost his salary of one month. When we got to the restaurant, he discovered that I was on a diet. I mustn’t eat this and I mustn’t drink that. Oh, but I didn’t want to spoil his enjoyment. Let him by all means eat as much fattening food as he wants: it’s the surest way to early grave. We spend a truly memorable evening together and never see each other again. I recognized I ruined a fabulous date. Actually dieting is not the best way of losing weight.
China is an ancient country and has 5000 years’ history. There are many ways to help people to lose weight in China. We Chinese medics think that body organs maladjustment is the main cause of fatness. And most fatness always go with disease, such as Constipation, Fatigue, Heart Vascular Disease, Blood Pressure Disease, Dysmenorrhea and so on. We Chinese use a traditional effective therapy called Acupuncture which was believe to speedup metabolism and enhance the digestive function to help people lose weight.
Magnetic Therapy itself is based upon the use of magnets on and around the acupuncture points of your body. Applying Magnetic Therapy helps to build new cells to rejuvenate the tissues of the body. It is a natural way of stimulating your body to combat fat. Magnetic therapy is the application of magnets to the body to stimulate the nerves and create a better blood flow to various parts of the body. In turn, this helps the organs and glands to function better. The results of magnetic therapy have helped the body's metabolism system to become faster, at the same, the body to revive from some diseases such as Constipation, Fatigue, Heart Vascular Disease, Blood Pressure Disease, Dysmenorrhea… is my website, it no only brings us health, perfect shape, beauty but also a healthy lifestyle. Hey May Liu….

I think I’ve found ‘young handsome man’….. !

Did you leave him in the restaurant restroom ? There was this guy there complaining of Constipation, he said he had Palpitations too!

He appeared to be weighed down with these metal things…. and brisling with needles too!

Anyway, he said he’d be OK and that there was a beautiful Chinese girl looking after him!

The reason for reviving this thread is that I often hear people explain things just like mayliu has above. I find it very interesting to observe the cultural influences involved.

Quoting kikay

Let me expand on kikay's sentiment by saying WTF?!?!

I'm quite sick of the relatively new Chinese obsession with being anorexic; some of them make Kate Moss look a whale! Don't you Chinese girls know that you're genetically programmed to be slim to begin with? So stop trying to be even thinner! F**k that magnetic therapy crap! BTW, along with the Chinese "slim gene", you're also tend to be blessed with small breasts. Breasts = fat. No fat = no breats. Think about it! (Before I start getting hate mails, I would just like to add that I'm Chinese and I'm a girl, so I'm allowed to be harsh on my own kind. I am! Just ask Chris Rock!)

"To be frank" is a very well-worn phrase in China. So to is "in a word" ... then many words follow
