I'm an Australian Au Pair in Germany this year, and am looking at travelling around Europe at various points of the year, to see Vatican City, Venice, France, Holland, Belgium, other parts of Germany (am living in Cologne at the moment), and of course go to London and look around as well as going to the MOS nightclub.. and perhaps other places in Europe I havent mentioned! Also, if anyone wants to do Oktoberfest, let me know!

I'm young and can only talk English (am learning German), but if you think it would be fun to travel together (see the sights and experience the nightlife around Europe) then let me know and we can organise something!! My Facebook page is

being an au pair is absolutely amazing!! :-)
I think it depends a lot on the family you get as to how your experience turns out though.. haha

how long is your friend Au Pairing for?

Yeah, i got the nicest family. haha its super fun!! :-) If you wanna do it, you can look on aupairworld.com thats where i found my family.. haha

Wow, travelling east would be cool!! I havent thought about it in depth yet, i have only made a short list so far, with the essentials, but i really want to see as much as Europe that my time/funds can fit in!! What are you going to be doing east??

whoa, that site is pretty cool. I wonder if much guys do that much, would be fun :P
east... I was thinking of going to Russia then Estonia, and zig-zagging my way south towards Romania. Thats pretty much all I have planned so far. aaaaaaaaaaaaand..... i leave june 16th!
I have 2 months =] so when the time gets closer ill try to get more of a plan :P

I have actually met quite a few Au Pair guys.. its pretty mad!! Just make a profile when you know what you're going to do and when and where you want to go!! :-)
Wow, Russia is soooooo big, flying over it is the most boring thing in the world! haha.. You'll have the maddest time though.. are you going to go by car or train it??

8. Posted by lakers6902 (Budding Member 70 posts) 7y

oh really, thats pretty sweet. yea for sure, ill look into making a profile; would be fun to try for a bit. how long did it take for your to find a family??
haha yea russia is huuuuuuge, but im gonna train it! =] sooo i got a ticket to south korea... im thinking, ill start in east russia and train alllll the way across into east europe. of course stopping in a few places :P
and then, in east europe, ill figure out where to go.
but.... theres this hitchhiking game/race in switzerland, starting in the end of june. Its like... for 10 days. Ive been looking into doing that, looks like alot of fun. But i gotta find a partner or two, to hitchhike with me :P so im hoping i can convince someone to do it with me =]]
your going to be in germany for the next year, yea?

It doesnt take long at all to find a family, people pretty much get into contact with you straight away, it takes longer to decide on which family you'd get along with best and then getting to know them! its quite a fun process actually! :-)

Training it through Russia will take ages! haha.. Good luck doing it, dunno if i'd have the patients, although it would be MUCH more exciting getting to see things as opposed to going over russia in a plane.. haha..
That will really be an amazing experience though!!

Wow, a hitchhiking game in Switzerland! haha how on earth did you ear about that! That sounds so awesome! :-)

yes, i'm going to be in Germany for the next year.. Hopefully.. haha..

How long are you travelling Europe for??

sweet, thats pretty awesome then. I think ima try it, looks like fun. Ill make a profile pretty soon =]
haha yes! training it would be sooo awesome. personally, im pretty excited. At school im taking a russian class, so hopefully when the time comes i wont be completely lost ;P im thinking... maybe 2-3 weeks for russia. I think that should be enough time to stop at a few places and take the train across.
oooo but yes, the hitchhiking game. haha, i heard about it on the couchsurfing site. umm... ever heard of couchsurfing? pretty cool actually, well since your in europe you should make a profile on the site. try it out when you go visit another city. im sure youll like it, but at first it is a bit sketchy ill be honest. i love it though, i always have people staying with me here in cali =]] but yea on the site, i found out about the hitchhiking thing. im still considering it, would be really fun. if i find someone to be my partner in it, then ill do it for sure. ive only hitchhiked a few times, so im no professional at it. haha

but... in total... ill be gone for almost 3 months! and like 2 months in europe.
hey... maybe, you have msn messenger? or something?
