I'm an old fashioned rock'n roll girl. Although the last thin I was listening to was the soundtrack to O Brother, Where Art Thou?, which is more bluegrass than anything else...
that soundtrack is great I'll have to give that a go sometime soon.
at the moment I suppose jamiroquai, electric six, potbelleez, and butterfingers are a few I'm constantly listening to.
I mainly listen to everything (from Pop to Classic, and Dance to Noise), as long as it is made with the right intentions, which means if needs to come from the heart, and not from the head.
some names of the last few weeks:
Doe maar (Dutch Raggae/Ska-pop), Las Manos de Fillipi (South American Punk), Queen, Talibam! (NY, avangarde duo), Narcoleptica (Spanish postrock /doing an interview tomorrow for Majjem-radio.) Luka Bloom (Irish Singer-Songwriter), La Buena Vida (Spanish pop), Black Dice (Noise), Orbital (dance/electronic), and Joy Division (know your classics)
How is the techno scene at the moment, have to admit that it's a long time since I listened anything. Does the tresor label and club still excist?

A few years ago someone in Montreal introduced me to the music of DobaCaracol. Sadly the last time in I was in Canada, my travel plans meant that I missed seeing them in Vancouver by a day.
Other than them, the French band Louise Attaque and the long-since disbanded Les Negresses Vertes.
Antipodean stuff, Split Enz and the Go-Betweens (one of whom is now sadly deceased, hence they are no longer).
Other stuff, where do I start? Maybe with Swindon's finest XTC.

Split Enz? Now they bring back memories. Their "True Colours" album was fantastic however I found the others pretty mediocre.
