Im a 16 year old girl from Norway who wants to become a veterinary, and I was thinking that i maybe should go to uni in Australia. I was just wondering if any of you have any experience with those universities.
Is it a uni who are better in veterinary science than another?
Also, it would be nice to know a bit more about the cities and activities, enviroment and so on.
Firstly...I think that choosing to become a vet is the best choice you'll ever make. Unfortunately for me I wasn't smart enough (so I did law).
Murdoch has an excellent reputation for veterinary science, I do not know about other programs elsewhere, but I do think that Murdoch's program is very good.
Murdoch is in Perth though, and its a sleeeeepy place. Melbourne or Sydney or somewhere in Queensland would be a more interesting experience. Perth is quit iscolated, but it is a pleasant place. Sydney, Melbourne etc are relatively close to each other and therefore there is more to do. I would recommend getting a travel book (like Lets Go or Lonely planet) as they are pretty good for advice on activities etc.
Whatever you decide to do you will thoroughly enjoy the experience.
ok, thanks, well I don't know if I'll get in or not. But the intake grade seems to be under the norwegian, anyone who knows what it is? the norwegian, i think, is about straight 6 (on a scale from 1-6)
Is it anyone who knows about the other unis?
Murdoch seems nice, but like you say it's perth and isn't perth quite isolated?
i think melbourne seems nice, but I don't know much about the uni and its the most ecspensive
well, it's still two years to go
