Howdy people,

I have been to bangkok many times before on my travels, but this time im only there for 3 days on the way back to UK for a wedding. It is for this reason that I am stopping in get a tailored suit for that wedding.

Does anyone know of any good quality and not too extortionate tailors in Bangkok? Is three days enough to get fitted and have a good quality suit made up? I would have gone for longer, but can only get two weeks from work :(

Is there a particular area in BKK that is known for its tailors? IM staying right near MBK and Siam, so somewhere near there would be a bonus.

Muchos Gracias

Ask any tuk tuk driver, they will take right to the best one in town!

When i was there my Thai friend in town said the place to go was MBK or Little India (he wasnt a tuk-tuk driver or guide). Just a normal small businessman.

first and foremost, if you want the suit to last more than a few washes, do not ask a tuk tuk driver!! Read all the horror stories online!!

Secondly, you're not staying too far away from the tailor I used, Crown Tailors in Sukhumvit soi 8. Should do the trick for you.

Forget Crown Tailor on Sukhumvit Road, they only target foriegn tourists - local Thais would never shop at a place like that, low quality and over-priced (Like everything that is aimed at 'rich' foreign tourists). Tailors like that can only find customers thorugh fake internet reviews and hiring tuk-tuks to find customers for them. For tailors where Thais go, go to any tailor outside of tourist areas.
