Hi, I was wondering if this is possible and whether or not it is cheaper. I was quoted 250AUD here in Melbourne for four months of Larium, last time I paid 115AUD for 3 months! So I've no idea why it is so much more, especially since it was the same chemist.

Do I need a prescription in KL or can I buy these drugs freely from a chemist? Any KL residents in the know I'd be interested in hearing from you. Many thanks.

I think it is quite hard to get the drugs in Kuala Lumpur since it is not an endemic area for malaria. However, you can try to go the pharmacies such as Watson's or Guardian for the drugs. Malaria case in endemic in the east of peninsular Malaysia which is Pahang, Terangganu, and Kelantan although the cases is low in number.
