You might be able to get a place to stay at in Thailand for your budget of 10 euros that might be a private room. But for Singapore and even KL I think you may get quite a bit less value or have to spend more. Singapore in general will be a little more expensive than Thailand for many things. At least you are traveling in the summer months when the prices are lower.

I don't do hostels because I prefer a private room with a toilet/shower that 30 other people are using. Plus I like having a security box for my valuables.

In Bangkok many young backpackers head over to the Khao San Road area for cheap hotels. One place that seems to be popular with women travelers, assuming "Tuffy" is a name for a woman, is the Suk 11 Hostel that is not in the Khao San Road area but off Sukhumvit Road, near the Nana Skytrain.

Here is a link to some accommodation in Bangkok. The cheap places may be fan only rooms and possibly cold water showers in some places.

For K. L. I got this off of Google.

Sometimes you may be able to get a cheapo place that may not be convenient to cheap transportation or you can not simply just walk to many places. Some times paying a little more for a good location may end up being cheaper than getting a cheap place where you have to take a taxi to get to a better area.

What is your first country you will visit?

Good luck.

Thank so much for the info!! I am travelling with some people that want to stay in hostels and I am not very happy with the idea of sharing the bathroom with 30 more people either so I am trying to find something that will be ok in price that they will go for but it's a hotel:) I don't mind a cold shower as long it's all mine!:) We still don't know what country will be the first because we are still waiting to see about our airoplane tickets if our frist stop will be Kualla lumpur or Bankok...

When you get your plane tickets you might want to check for the price on a round trip ticket to one city like Bangkok or Singapore and you return to that city for your flight home. If you intended on a series of one way flights that may prove to be more expensive in the long run. SOMETIMES a one way flight may be almost as expensive as a round trip flight - sometimes! So run the numbers. Getting a flight or taking a train back to the first city you landed at may be the cheapest option instead of a one way flight to one city and and another one way flight back home from a different city.

Traveling with a group almost always has some problems. At least when you are in your cheap hostel your bunk mates will also include people you trust (hopefully!)

Good luck.
