Oh my god Rich, that is my FAVORITE line in that song! I just love it... it is purely brilliant! I mean, vegemite. There's your answer. No need to elaborate. Don't you love how the songs of the 80s are, lyrically, slightly absurd? I love it. I mean why did the woman who took him in and made him breakfast make him nervous?

You know ,the singer is actually Scottish... He was on CHOM awhile back, Scottish drawl and all, doing an unplugged version. Strange stuff...

I never tried vegemite, but I did sample marmalite. Blech.

Ahhhh, now I want to go out and buy an 80s compilation CD. Do they make any without the GoGos and Bananarama?

I recently saw "Wake Me Up before You Go Go" on TV, with George Michael pracning around with his fake tan, liquid paper teeth and semi-faded pink shorts that he must have borrowed from his little brother.

And to think there was a question over whether he was gay or not....!

Not to get the thread off topic (not that it really had a topic in the first place), but I got my passport back yesterday with my Tanzanian visa in it!

Only 76 days until the trip. Wow, when I say it like that, it seems like a long time. But if I say 2 and a half months, it doesn't seem so long. Weird.

That's what I did when I bought my tickets to New Zealand. "Just 7 months left! Just 6!" Imagine counting the days... ouch...

Africa seems almost like a dream, so far away and so different. It must be such a great feeling to know you're really, actually, for-real-and-for-true going...
