Hi

How long does it take to get to Rio de Janeiro from Buenos Aires by bus and what bus group is the best to use?
Can you get a train?

Planning on staying 7 days in Rio what would you suggest doing and must see.

Thanks
Sharon

There are few passenger trains in Brazil.

Bus info can be found on the ANTT site. Directions for use and link:

Good, complete info on Rio, with maps:
www.ipanema.com
Consider some side trips to Paraty/Ilha Grande, with 7 days to spend.

There are no trains in Brasil, at least where u want to go. As for the buses, try this website.

It takes 44 hours on the bus from BA to Rio. You'd prob be better stoping about half way at the Igauzu Falls, it's well worth it.

You should check to see if you need a Tourist Visa to enter Brazil.. Many people do. It would be a shame to travel 44 hours on a bus only to be told you need a visa to enter.
Americans, Canadians and others NEED a Travel Visa to enter Brazil. Do YOU???
