grand china princess & horizon patong beach resort

Hi everyone l`m new to this not sure how it all works , l would like some info on accommodation, we are thinking of staying at Grand China Princess, Bangkok and in Phuket, Horizon Patong Beach Resort we are a family of 4, the kids are 9 & 10 and we require a familyroom. If anyone has any views or other ideas that would be great. Thanks so much.

Reminds me of our trip. Our kids were 8 & 11 at the time. We stayed in the Patong Tower - set back a few hundred yards from the beach, and the tallest building on the island. We negotiated 10 days for about £40 a night, but got a small apartment with kitchen, separate bedroom, and sofa bed in the lounge.
Thailand wasn't easy for us, but we'd been travelling for three months by then and were getting irritable. We found Patong in September difficult for the kids - not enough to do. But if your hotel has some factilities for them you'll be fine.
