Me and a few of my friends are thinking about going backpacking in Europe for a couple of weeks in July/ August and don't really know where to start to decide where to go. We will maybe go to a few different places but we are looking for somewhere by the beach, somewhere quite lively but not as lively as somewhere like bendorm. Anyone have any good suggestions. I thought maybe spain?

Thanks

Cornwall in England is a preety cool place thats where i live. ummm if you want a lively part then Newquay is probly a good idea. Its got nice beachs, loadsa pubs, clubs and stuff to do, real holiday place. July/ August is also summer there so probly a good time to camp and there is usually music concerts and surf competitions on that time of year around there.

Croatia! It was a completely unexpected destination for me - after backpacking for 6 weeks I needed a few days on a beach and Split and Dubrovnik were stunning. Off the beaten path and away from hordes of tourist. The beaches are stunning - it's 30 degree weather but your under palm trees and pine trees and laying in full sight of ancient Roman palaces and Medieval cities!

Google it and take a look! If memory serves - Wizzair has flights to Split.
