From Bariloche (ARG) to Puerto Montt (CHI) by bus

Could anyone point bus companies that do Bariloche (ARG) - Puerto Montt (CHI) route?

I know "Via Bariloche", but apparently there are no buses available for the route on Wednesdays (when I need it)...

As far as I am aware, the quickest route by far is over water, from Bariloche to Puerto Varas in Chile. Have you considered taking this cruce de lagos?

There are several overland alternatives, but to my knowledge none of them is direct. But it's quite possible that knowledge is outdated; last time I was in the area is now four years ago.

the Lake crossing is very nice and it is a full day trip.
dont remember about the buses,but last year my brother made it by bus from Puerto Montt to Bariloche(Lake crossing was fully booked)in April

Im taking the Cruce from P. Montt to Bariloche, 2 days cruise. But, to come back to P. Montt, I need something faster.

Btw, do u have any info about this Cruce? I found just one agency which charges about USD 230 for this 2-days cruise... overnight in Peulla NOT included.. found a little expensive.... Do u know if one I can book this trip once I'm there in P. Montt? Or is it better to book in advance?

as fare I remember the B&B made the reservation for him.

As I recall, there are a number of buses that run from Bariloche to Puerto Montt. I just went to the bus station in Bariloche and hopped on the next one out of there. Didnt book in advance.

Try Bus Norte or Pullmann del Sur.

Had no success with Bus Norte or Pullmann or any other company. There's simply no information on the net.
