Slow and error

Travel Forums System Talk Slow and error

1. Posted by Utrecht (Moderator 5596 posts) 7y

Yesterday and today travellerspoint has been occasionally slow. other websites worked fine, so it is not my computer.
Also, I tried to start a new thread in photography. it took ages and it said there has been an error. Still, the forum post in photography was there?
Incident or not?

This post coincided with a server outage (well, it happened right after the post). Since the restart things seem to be better for me (for you too?). We're working on it, but there's something, somewhere that isn't playing nicely :(

I would have replied earlier, but had limited internet around Easter.... (basically only using the phone).

Are you guys tweaking things again???

TP is loading quickly except for the "preview" function when posting a reply to a thread. I am answering a thread and the previews have taken no less than 2 minutes to load and this last one was long enough to say "error - page not found". Everything else (on TP) loads like the Energizer Bunny. In fact, I'm still waiting for the response preview to load (after I hit the back button from the error page and clicked preview again) while I have typed this. Any clues???

ps: I didn't break it!!!

Says you! ;)

I've been getting double notifications again, since the weekend. Weird!

I think the server is randomly picking members. I received notifications over the weekend but no duplicates. I seem to get them when everyone else says it's fixed. Then when I only get one, everyone else gets two. I think I live in a time warp...

No T, I didn't break it - just bent it slightly!

This should be in the Joke of the day thread.

Once logged in, TP works smoothly for me, as always. But it seems that the logging in itself is increasingly slow. Any idea what could be the cause?

Hmm, that seems odd. Haven't noticed that personally :?

Can anyone explain this one??.... The other day I sent some info by PM to someone, who wanted to know about the place I stayed at recently in Sardinia. They sent me a thank you reply - and every line was repeated. eg - what was written on line 1 was also on line 2 and so on. So fours lines of text was in fact 8!!

Ok, I've never seen anything like that. My only guess is that it somehow happened on the sender's side. Can you forward (just copy and paste) me the message through PM so I can see what you're talking about .
