Hi all,

could someone help me with the following:

How easy it is to go from India to SE Asia (eg. Thailand, Vietna, etc) by land? What difficulties can I find in crossing the borders or others?

thanks a lot!

André

From N-India one can go to Nepal, cross the border to Tibet and here you can take the train to eg Chengdu. From here you can make your way down to Vietnam, Laos etc.
On the other hand, you can cross the border from the NE-states to Bangladesh, but then to cross the border over land to enter Myanmar will be difficult, if not impossible...

Thank you very much

Just one more question, What if intentio in to come from China (Hong Kong) to SE Asia and then going up to India? Would it have to be the same way through Tibet and Nepal?

And do you know if I can get the Visas to these countries on the borders going by land? Because I know about getting it at the airport...

tks again
