I'm spending 3 months in South/Central America this summer!! 1st Half is going to be in Bolivia/Peru/Ecuador then the 2nd half in Central America where I have a flight from Cancun to New York at the end of August before returning to Dublin!! Having trouble finding a cheap flight from either Ecuador or Peru to anywhere in Central America since I wont have time to do this route overland via Colombia!!! Any help would be much appreciate. Hablo espanol tambien si alguien pueda ayudarme!
what do you consider "Cheap"? I'll look into it.
Well after scouring the internet and countless airlines the cheapest ive come up with is around 400 dollars which is very expensive in my opinion looking for a lot cheaper hopefully! Not too sure abt where to head in central america either since my budget will prob end up deciding my route!! Do you have any advice on where to fly into Central America and what could be done in 6 weeks travelling north towards Cancun?
Once again im very grateful for any help and thanks for the quick reply!!
Well, I would fly to San Jose Costa Rica in'n I was you and was going to explore CA. Look around here and you'll get your other question answered, oh say, a hundred times.
400 bucks is damned expensive, i agree.
Sorry, man. After looking for any hour, I can't beat 400 dollars either. I'll keep trying
For what it's worth, I did a quick search as well.
It seems that only Copa Airlines and TACA (operated by LACSA sometimes) fly from Quito/Guayaquil/Lima to Panama/San José. TACA also flies to Guatemala city.
Best I found was 352 plus tax from Quito to Panama. I guess it's not cheap cheap, but those are the prices in this region as well, especially if you fly between south and central instead of within (copa has some good deals there).
