Ala I've unsubscribed my elp for these a tthe moment due to the posting of spam messages. Sahem, hopefully won't be long.
Suggests the newbie - posting www or urls should be looked at until they are Full Members.
I am helping my brother with his RTW trip at the moment.
It was cool to meet up with Hien on Easter Monday, on my return from Belgium! (Brussels, Waterloo, Bruges, Gent, Antwerp, Mechelen).
Book 20 different beers yesterday to remind me of the Belgian atmopshere lol!
Blocking off new users from posting links is just super unfriendly so not likely to ever happen I'm afraid. I know what you mean, and yes, it's annoying as can be! One reason it probably wouldn't even help is because you'd get posts like google "super hot fine sneakers" instead, or go to mycoolsite(dot)com instead. I found a long time ago these spammers are stupid and incredibly persistant for basically 0 benefit
Also, if you see spam coming in and flag it quickly, you end up blocking off the person posting from posting more of it which usually turns them off the site quite quickly. You can also switch off help notifications for forum posts which in my experience reduces notification of spam heavily.
Yes I understand, I was merely expressing my desire to help as a helper but I do flag things.
I understand the super unfriendly of it,, simply that the spammers seem to be a lot from Thailand and Vietnam, those enterprising spammers!
