Good news for both Malaysians and Australians!

Australia's Work and Holiday visa arrangement with Malaysia came into effect on 1 February 2009. This arrangement is reciprocal, which means eligible citizens of both countries may apply for the visa of the other county.

At this time, there is an annual limit of 100 visas issued by each country. The visa is valid for 12 months and no extension is allowed. For the full details of the visa, check out the links below.

100 places is not many at all. by now it should be filled, i wonder.

anyway, how many places were available for WHV UK in the previous years before its demise? Hien?

Yeah, I agree the number is very small, but the eligibility set by the Australian Immigration for Malaysian applicants is higher than the one set by their Malaysian counterpart. This will definitely reduce the number of possible Malaysian applicants.

anyway, how many places were available for WHV UK in the previous years before its demise? Hien?

I've read pretty much every documentation released by the UK Border Agency for the WHM, and I have not come across anything about the limitation on the places for the WHM visa. And looking back, the British High Commission have never stopped accepting applications towards the end of the year either, when, if there was a limit, the places would have had been filled by that time. So I am thinking there was no limit for that.
