Hi fellow travellers, I am considering travel to Paris but may only be able to fit it in during December / January. I know it's not the greatest whether during this time - can anyone fill me with any confidence about travelling during either dec or jan and some thoughts on some good quality (4 star) accomadation - i need to have 4 beds - any help would be appreciated

Hi There,
I went to Paris for New Year last year and it was great. We stood on the foot bridge next to Pont Neuf (the same one they used in the last Sex and the City episode, but before we knew about it!) and watched the lights come on on the Eiffel Tower.
But what I would warn about are the pickpockets, especially around the Eiffel Tower itself and the Palais du Chaillot. Keep your eyes peeled at all times, especially in crowds and when taking photos.
Plenty of accommodation around the Arc de Triomphe area, but the Chatelet area around the Louvre is also good as it's very central.
We also went up to Sacre Couer on a snowy day - wonderful.

Hi TravelPC!!!

I'm a fan of Paris...and especially from one hotel....the Hotel Cambon...I spent a few nights in this hotel..and loved...!!! It's a 4 star hotel in the 1st between the Champs Elysees and the Jardin des Tuilleries...a marvellous location, no?
I'm not sure to know if they have rooms with 4 beds but I know they have suite so maybe you can have 4 beds...
So, I let you see on their website if you can find it: www.hcambon.com!!
Have a great trip in Paris!!!
