travelzsh has indicated that this thread is about Malaysia

Hi there,

I like KL, and would like to learn driving there, if possible, while waiting for an australia visa, which takes at least 2 weeks.
Currently i am traveling in thailand.
Anyone knows about learning driving there?

Thanks

Where are you from? Learning to drive in KL would be the worst place in my opinion. And you would probably need to learn Bahasa Malaysia if you intend to take any test.
Driving schools in Malaysia seem to use off road areas more than driving on the streets.
I suggest you wait until you get to Australia.

yea, I agree with Lipz. you need "skills" to drive on the road in Malaysia ;) If you got aussie licience, it is valid in Malaysia.

Just go to Thailand first and apply for a driving licence, then get an International Driving Licence so that you can go and drive in Malaysia. You don't need to know how to drive to get a driving licence in Thailand and there's no driving test to speak of.

I know this sounds like a joke, but read How to obtain a Thai driving licence and you'll see what I mean. ;)
