I love all sports, some more than others, but i give them all a chance if i can. Being English my fav is Football (soccer) but i love most American sports aswell.
I support Liverpool (football/soccer), Packers (american football/football), Red Sox (baseball), Cavs (basketball).
I know the rules of the American sports and i am a keen fan of them but the only reasons the support the teams i do is because of present or past players, Packers (Farve), Red Sox (Babe Ruth but im loving Youk!), Cavs (Lebron James, its crazy how good he his and only 24/25).
So who do you support? Which sports do you like?
Let me know
I guess I'd say I'm a Canadiens fan--although I'm not a huge hockey enthusiast. I just like the feel of the city when the team's on a winning streak. We're in the playoffs, too!
I used to wathc Hockey when i was younger but never got into it. Plus its quite hard to watch American sports here as they all start at midnight
Good luck in the playoffs. Are the Pengiuns in there? I know there good but thats about it.
I support a couple of football teams, but the main one is in the Netherlands, and is Vitesse Arnhem. In England: Everton (can't believe anyone is supporting that other team from Liverpool )
I went to see a game of Rayo Vallecano a few weeks ago, as I would need a team to support in Madrid now, but I just miss being at a Vitesse game. But my problem here in Madrid is that I don't feel like supporting one of the big commercial teams of Real or Atletico, so I am teamless at the moment in Madrid, trying to follow Vitesse and Everton as much as possible.
The only other team I support would be the Rabobank team in Cycling, as they used to be the team from Jan Raas, but it's not the same anymore. For the rest I don't follow that much sports.
used to watch the atlanta when they had all those great pitchers.
I kind of follow Philadelphia a little but not too much anymore. it's cool that they are the champs but...
this steroids era kind of killed the sport for me.
it was a big blow to the sport hearing that alex rodriguez used them. he was supposed to be the Michael Jordan of baseball. but now...
he should retire before he starts tarnishing every great record set by the true greats
Yeh i know what you mean. I dont consider Barry Bonds record to count because of the pure cheating!
Its sooooo bad how many have taken drugs now and A-rod is on target to beat the record, so i do agree with you, retire now and then people may still respect him.
Im just hoping Albert Pujos hasnt taken any, hes still quite young and hes hit a minium of 30 HR every season hes played, so he should go on and beat the record.
It's crazy, if bonds didn't cheat he would've been considered the greatest all around player ever! He was great at defense, base stealing and hitting. Now... I honestly don't even know how many home runs he hit. I don't care, I still think hank aaron holds the record at 755.
And then there is roger clemens! who would've gone down as the greatest modern day pitcher but now he is a cheater.
so hopefully pujols is clean. he will definitely break some records if he stays healthy.
At least Greg maddux, tom glavine, frank thomas, ken griffey jr. and tony gwynn were legit.
Coventry City, Saracens, Red Sox.
Well i hope there all clean. They are but knowing the press it will proberly change and everyone is a cheater.
I agree Aaron has the record. I couldnt believe about Clements, i dont like the Yankees but that really annoyed me!
Anyway lets get back to the beautiful side of the sport, whos going to win the world series this year?
