Hi guys,
It feels like this website is becoming my second home as I'm always posting and reading different topics. I spoke to my friend today and tried to organise an itinerary of what to do. Were in south east asia for 5 weeks and want to fit as much as we can in, and we understand its going to be very fast paced!
Does this sound like a good enough plan:
Arrive Bangkok June 1st 7 am
Leave Bangkok June 3rd 6 pm for flight to Hanoi, Vietnam ( Spend 1-2 days)
Travel down to Hue by overnight train ( Spend 1-2 days)
Travel to Nha Trang by overnight train ( Spend 1-2 days)
Move down to Ho Chi Minh City. ( Spend 1-2 days)
Cross the border from Ho Chi Minh City into Cambodia, Phnom Penh ( Spend 1-2 days)
Move up to Angkor Wat and Siem Reap (Spend 2-4 days)
From Siem Reap travel back to Bangkok
Spend about 14 days in Thailand exploring Bangkok some more and Koh Tao, Koh Samui, Khao Sok and Phuket
From Bangkok head to Chiang Mai ( Spend 1-2 days)
Then over to Laos Vientiane and then to Lac Sao (Spend 4-5 days)
Back to bangkok for a couple of days and fly home!
Would this be a good way to go, or would you recommend a different order? Also is it best for us to get our visas now or when were over in South Asia?
Sorry for the long post
Thanks
Mike
