AU Working Holiday Visa - Passport question

Travel Forums Australia / New Zealand & The Pacific AU Working Holiday Visa - Passport question

Hi all,

I am a US citizen and just recently obtained a Polish passport, which would allow me to work legally in Europe. Does anyone know if this would get in the way of me obtaining a Working Holiday Visa from Australia?

I'm guessing you meant for Australia rather than from?

It wouldn't make any difference as long as you're eligible. As a technical point, the visa for Australia you could be eligible for as a US citizen is not the Working Holiday visa (subclass 417) but the Work & Holiday visa (subclass 462).

Sorry, yes, i meant "for". Yeah, i wasn't sure if they would possibly deny my application because i just received a Polish passport. On the application i started to fill out for the Work & Holiday visa (subclass 462) there was a section that asked if you hold citizenship in any other country and in my case, i do.

You can get a WHV for New Zealand and Canada as a Polish citizen, but you cannot get one for Oz.
