I still find it a pain to make blog posts with pictures.

This is one of the highest priorities for improvement now. Right behind public commenting; which I'm working on right now :)

Yup, and those are the main reason why i joined the other blog site over this one. Its user interface is also very easy and has lots of useful tools.

A tool that they don't have, which i think would put you ahead of the 'competition' would be the function to comment on pictures similar to facebook. I know a lot of people who are keen to use such a function.

Can you expand on how the interface is more easy and any useful tools they have that we don't. All in the interest of self improvement of course.

It actually already is possible to comment on photos. Here's a photo with some comments: http://www.travellerspoint.com/photos/stream/photoID/442783/orderByID/#photo_comments . But I'm guessing maybe you want these comments somehow integrated into the blog area.

Anyway, good to have another kick up the pants about the photos being difficult to insert. Will definitely boost its priority!

One thing I really like about TP blogs as opposed to lots of others, including travelblog, is the look. I don't want to read someone else's blog when there's all kinds of advertising and such on the page - it's really distracting. So maybe a bit easier to be the blogger, but much harder to be the reader. Overall I think TP offers the best of both worlds . . . and we have pretty awesome overlords, which doesn't hurt either

I think one of the frustrating things about the blogs is that non-members can't comment. I always want to know if my friends are reading or not. I used to use another blog service that allowed guests to comment but now I feel like what I'm writing isn't read, even if I see that statistics, I feel the need to get feed-back. Since I have joined TP, I have hardly written any blog entries.

This is currently being tested as you can see in the tp blog for example. We've always shied away from this for spam related purposes, but think we might have found good middle ground now. Stay tuned as hope to launch this in next 24/48 hours!

I didn't quite make my goal in terms of hours, but public commenting is now up and running!! More information on exactly how it works in this thread.

TravelBlog.Org is the best blogging site. It is where I put my blogs.

Hi everyone!

Not sure if this is still relevant, but I do use -snip- as my primarily travel blog. Why? I like how easy and user friendly it is. I have my own URL of the blog, where all my trips are posted and everyone can comment on them. (Still, if I want to make any trip private, I can do so and still share it only with those, who I will invite.)

I can post my notes with pictures, videos and exact GPS location.

Especially I love the accessibility. I am using the iPhone app, that offers an offline mode - so no more expensive roaming costs. I just upload my stories to the phone and then publish them online, once I am catching some Wi-Fi. Or, I can use SMS, MMS or email to send my posts to my blog. (I do so quite often.) I also connect the blog with my Facebook and Twitter account, which comes quite handy.

It really is a neat tool for travelers. So if you are, as I am, always on the road, you know where to look for your blog!

Oh, btw. my next trip will be to Hawaii, so you can follow it online, yeay!

I hope I helped.

Oooo .. ooo I know the answer, you work for them!

Sorry, spam and fake comments like yours are not tolerated here. The link and name of your website have been removed for that reason. Remember, it doesn't pay to be dishonest.

Hey Peter! Fair enough! Thanks for the note! Didn't know, just wanted to help. Anyway, I will read the forum rules you have posted. Still want to chat with the other travelers!
