According to a report in the Bangkokpost Business section, Pattaya, which was recently hit by violence during the ASEAN+3 conference, is planning to attract tourists with the offer of free rooms during the period May 1 to October 31.

An amazing offer if it is without strings. But the troubles in Thailand are still not over. Has Pattaya been hit by any demonstrations or violence?
Everything's pretty much back to normal in Thailand. The emergency decree has been lifted and although the UDD (red shirts) demonstrated yesterday in a park near the Grand Palace, it was a peaceful event by all accounts.
I haven't heard anymore about the free room offer. If I see something in the Press, I'll update this thread.
