Hi all,

I will be traveling to London from 21st to 27th of May and if anyone is free to show me around that would be great!

if no one offers to show you around try going on an orginal bus tour (www.theoriginaltour.com). you can hope on and off wherever around central london or just get yourself a full zone underground travel card and explore. its safe (in central london) and easy to get around so go enjoy yourself!

You'll probably get more responses if you provide some detail about yourself Wombat. For example, how old you are and whether you're male or female.

Well, I am making a stopover in London before flying to Austria to continue my study.

If anyone is free within that time frame and is interested in getting to know new cultural, people, language then you might wanna reply to this post.

sometimes it is good to have someone for one or two days during your backpacker trip.

If you want to meet people in London try using couchsurfing.com- free accommodation and they may even show you around.

Good Luck!

Couchsurfing is cool but remember that a lot of the people who offer up couches will have jobs of some sort so won't be able to guide you round all the time.

I reckon the best way to discover London is to stay in a dorm in a hostel and find mates to go travelling with. Generator in London is pretty cool (stayed there for a week a couple of months ago) - really party vibe. A few years ago I went to St Christophers in London too which also had LOTS of drinking and it was easy to get to know people. There's a decent overview at moneysavinglondon.com and whatever you choose make sure you enjoy London, it's a fab city!

Get a travelcard. That will allow you get on and off buses and the underground all day, for one price (about £7).

Two excellent sites are thisislondon.com and visitlondon.com
They might be .co.uk but just put the 1st bit in Google or Yahoo! and you'll get it.
There are literally 1000's of beds on the 2 sites. Happy travels.
