Hey All,

Just a quick question......I am going to Indo in a few weeks and was wondering if people tended to take a sleep bag with them incase bedding isn't provided in hotels etc, or maybe if you do a tour climbing a volcano, and one is needed?

Any info would be great!

JD.

Hi Jade,
It is usually too hot for a proper sleeping bag. What I usually do is take a single or double cotton doona cover and a pillow slip.
If it is hot I sleep on top of the cover, if a bit cool I sleep in between the cover.
Usually in areas where it is cool the hotels or homestay will provide a heavier blanket, but no top sheet so the doona cover is great against one's skin with the blanket on top.
Pamela.

I have been doing some research about the Volcano Treks in Indo and want to climb Mount Rinjani when in Lombok.

I have seen that the trek is over 3 days / 2 nights and was wondering if the company / guides provide you with sleeping bags, or are you expected to take your own?

Also, whilst on the trek do people take their large rucksacks or put them into storage for a few days and take a day sack on the trek.......and info would be great.

JD
