No public transport out of London on Christmas Day !!!

Have a friendly chat with the governor of the local pub. He might tell you to come around,knock on the back door in the afternoon, and come in as a "guest".

no tubes at all on christmas day.

i very much doubt there will be any sort of transport-you are talking about xmas day!

There are sometimes a few black cabs roaming the streets on Christmas Day! BUT - if you decide to get one be careful because they normally hike the prices up massively - and they ain't cheap at the best of times

No buses either ! I was bored to tears waiting all day ... just wanting to meet up with friends in north Wales :(

Also, don't forget that the 26th is also a Bank Holiday in UK so although shops and pubs and everything will be open they will be open on a Sunday Service - this includes buses and trains!!

That will not be a problem because 26 is also a Sunday

True, but it does mean that there will be two bank holidays after Christmas so there will be a Sunday Service in most places until Wednesday
