I can't believe what I read. I had a very different experience in Thailand. I went there as a young single male so maybe that made my experience very different but my impression of Bangkok was just one big whore house. Everywhere I went I got solicited for whores. Everytime I got into a cab, the cab driver would take me to a whore house no matter where I told them to go. Most of the people I tried to talk to there just wanted to rip me off. In fact I have never been to a country where I have had so many people try to rip me off. And to top it all off I was actually robbed one of the nights I was there. Of the few people I interacted with you didn't feel that they were automatically entitled to my money just as many of them were rude as they were friendly. Bangkok is one seedy place. On the other hand there are a lot of tourists sites to see there but I would recommend another country in Asia. I found Japan and China, much nicer places to visit. Both countries were much more friendly, and although in China some people tried to rip me off it was not even remotely comparable to Thialand. Both China and Japan are more interesting places with more in the way of culture to offer.

Depends on how you handle the situation. Or maybe you should just visit China and Japan. I also would like to suggest that you never come to Thailand again
