Blinq, I wouldn't dare guess where lindatt flies in from. Hahn Airport actually has more Ryanair flights than Dublin, serving more than 50 destinations.

Taking a look at www.hahn-airport.de the most obvious candidate for lindatt's flight is the flight from Fes, Morocco that comes in at 23:30 on Thursdays. If lindatt does fly in from Morocco Ryanair to Hahn can be the cheapest way to get to a place near Lyon. Alternatives would be with Atlas Blue from Fes or Marrakech to Lyon, but they are usually expensive.

Following on from my previous suggestion, all I was trying to do there was to calculate how much money he would lose by cancelling the flight. Dublin in that respect is their main hub as you probably know. ;)

Wow, what a discusion. I'm flying not from marocco, nor from dublin, lithuania. I don't think I should cancel the flight, so I will probably take the bus from Frankfurt main to lyon, or the train from Saarbrücken Hbf to bourg. I didn't find better options.

Post #22# (& OP).... Just go with your instinct and avoid the crowds (and arguments).
As I recall, your original Post title was "Cheap way to get from Germany to France." As I mentioned earlier in this Post, EasyJet do some great cheap flights between the two countries, but that was overlooked. Perhaps go back and look again. I think I've still come up with one of the cheapest options so far. OK, the airports may be a way apart, but once taken off and landed - there are buses and trains, that if booked in advance can work out at just a few Euros one way. Sounds like an adventure for sure - no argument!!

There are four airports in Lithuania, which one are you departing from?

Since Ryanair flies from Kaunas to Hahn I assume it is Kaunas.

Playing around with www.skyscanner.net I cannot find any flights from Lithunia to France, except for an AirBaltic flight from Vilnius to Paris.

An option could be to fly to the UK or Ireland with Ryanair and then to catch a flight with easyjet to Lyon.

There are no direct flights from either Kaunas, Palanga or Vilnius to Lyon, but 13 carriers can get you from A to B via other airports. They're listed on Fly LowCost Airlines. However, the cheapest one I could find costs €455 return, so hardly 'low cost' I regret to say.
