- The economic outlook for the tourist industry in Amsterdam looks bleak. Bij 2010 the Amsterdam Tourism and Congress Bureau (ATCB) expects the number of overnight stays to decrease by 10%. In order to attact visitors, the ATCB intends to launch a campagne starting next week called 'Give me a break'. Part of the promotion will feature a free overnight stay in any hotel provided the visitor books a minimum two nights stay. In addition, tickets for museums and other attractions will also be given away free of charge.
