I wonder if he's gonna make it. This guy is going to be on an island by himself for 6 months!

he's gonna lose all of his social skills that landed him this job...if he doesn't go completely insane!

I'd risk it. I'm going insane here in England, more and more - on a daily basis!!!!

He won't be on any island by himself. That BBC report was somewhat misleading (trying to romanticise it perhaps?). Hamilton Island has a big resort so there will be lots of people around. Not to mention the fact that Tourism Queensland will be milking the publicity for all it's worth. I suspect he'll be quite busy doing media related things. The job itself looks quite tokenistic; feeding fishes, cleaning the pool, etc.. mostly he is just there as a marketing ploy and I have no doubt that it would actually be a fairly awesome "job"

I have my dream job. I am a tour guide. I get to learn and experence the world through my guests who have curiosity about where I live. I am outdoors, walking, educating and sipping drinks with "friends" from all over the world who I make everlasting friendships with.

what more can I ask for?
