Hey Guys,

I'm planning on climbing Mt Rinjani in Lombok (Indo) and was wondering if anyone had done this in the past and if they could offer and tip, tricks or advice............

Are you expected to take your large (65+ Litre) rucksack on the trek, or can you leave it in a hostel.

What about a sleeping bad, do you need one, or will they provide them

Cheers

JD

As far as I can recall, Lonely Planet has two full pages detailing Rinjani trekking with maps of routes, durations such as 3d/2n or 4d/3n and websites.
God I wish I was back in Lombok right now.

Work sucks big time and I need another holiday

Gunung Tambora north Sumbawa.
LP reckons it's a bugger of a climb and getting to the base of it is a pain in the arse cause of the state of the road/track.
