Hello all, my name's Leah and I'm 27, from sunny Leeds.
I've never been travelling at all before and am planning to visit Oz for about six weeks in Feb next year, on my own...!
I've got relatives in Sydney who I'm hoping to start off with and then from there, who knows! I want to see Bondi Beach, the Barrier Reef, all the usual places. I also want to do a tandem skydive! Which is weird as I'm terrified of heights. I've been known to get vertigo on escalators...
I have literally never done anything like this before and never thought I'd be able to. Luckily I've been left a bit of money so, for the first time in my life, travelling is a real possibility, but I am a bit clueless to be honest with you!
I'm hoping a travel company can help me plan it all out...
Anyway, if anyone is planning on travelling to Aus around this time too I would LOVE to hear from you.
I'm planning on booking my flight by the end of this month so will keep you posted on the exact dates.
Hope to hear from fellow travellers soon! :)

Hiya, Just wondering when your planning on going now? I am 24 and thinking of going Jan/Feb next year as i cant really see anyway of affording it at the moment? Have you managed to find cheap flights etc and have you looked at getting about there? Thanks;)

Hi deykin24, I've booked my flights and am going from Nov 1st - Dec 15th, I can't wait! The flights were about 800 quid, ish. Plus visa and insurance it came to about 900. The further in advance you book the cheaper it will be I would say. And as for getting about once you're there, apparantly the Greyhound bus is the cheapest/easiest method. They've even got a facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Greyhound-Australia/42650295774?ref=ts

Blondesock, I would love to meet up yeah! I'll send you a private message with my email add. :)
