Hey we just booked rllly cheap ryanair tickets to Alghero airport in Sardinina and now noticed that we took the most expensive week of the yr:( (Does anyone know the ryanair cancellation policy?)

We are looking for one bedroom accomodation with kitchen in the north east (Cannigione,Porto Cervo, La maddalena, Costa Esmeralda or anything in that area) If you know of anything, please let us know!! thanx:)

The RyanAir cancellation policy is very painful (enough said). The cheapest places for a room in Sardinia - are in the Badesi and Sassari regions. Do you need more?? Can help, if yes. What kind of one bedroon acommodation are you looking for??
Incidentally, flights with RyanAir are cheaper to Cagliari - than Alghero.

hey redpaddy,

I know Port Cervo is probably the most expensive place on the island but we love the costa esmeralda beaches and also would like to make some trips to la maddalena islands so are looking to stay in a place in the area with seaview - cannigione/palau..?or perhaps something inland with a nice view and not too farfrom the sea. We are looking for a self-catering place. All we need is one bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. our budget for the full week is 500 EUR, if there is anything u can recommend.. id love to hear from u

(btw, in our case flights to Alghero were the same price..)

Are you wanting to book in advance, or just get somewhere when you turn up??
There was plenty of acommodation to be had in Palau, which is the port for La Maddalena. I'm not sure TP would be too happy if gave you the address of the company that rented me my place. I suppose I could message it to you. If I haven't been ticked off by a moderator in the next 48 hours, I'll message it to you. Wonderful place, cheaper than your budget - and fits your criteria.

Promise TP, I won't advertise the company openly.

Hey redpaddy, it's no problem sending details like that over PM :) We can usually tell the spammers from the people trying to legitimately help out.

We look at recommendation on a case-by-case basis. Your overall contribution to the forum and site plays a big part when we make a decision. In this case, a recommendation from you shouldn't be flagged and deleted by a moderator.

Ah, 10 minutes too late! That's what happens when you leave to do something else while replying a post!

I thank you all for the mass of kind response. I have PM'd the OP and given them all the details of where I stayed. Just a lovely little gaff overlooking the sea - and lotsa cheap ales in the local shop.
Lucky them.
Thanks to you all again.
