Hey so we need some advice as this is our first trip away in Europe. Our rough itinary is - Rome - Corsica - Sardinia - Sicily - Malta. Are the boats/ferry's fairly cheap and easy to get across to each island ? And are there any recommendations for cheap hostels/hotels/bnb's/guesthouses ? ANY advice for our trip would be a great help !!!!!

Thank you

Mr Chris and Jadus x

For a start about the ferries, I recommend you have a look at some articles here on TP in the travelguide.

There is an article about European ferries regarding international ferries to and from Italy as well. And in the article about Italy you can also find these and in the 'getting around' section you will find ferries within Italy, including to and from Sardinia and Sicily, but also many other smaller islands in that region.
