Hi, I'll be traveling to Istanbul, Turkey this Friday, and from there I would like to make my way to the coast of Turkey and onwards to Athens via the Greek islands.

Does anybody has recommendations for possible cheap and scenic routes?
I've flipped through a few guidebooks, and some of these routes that I've found are as follow: Kusadasi to Samos; Cesme to Chios; Bodrum to Kos; Marmaris to Rhodes; Ayvalik to Lesvos.

Has anyone had experiences on any of these routes? Also which route is better considering that I would like to visit some of the cyclades islands such as Santorini and Mykonos enroute to Athens? (I heard they are expensive but still worth a visit!)

Thanks in advance!! :)

Hi. I think the best way to go greek islands is from Bodrum to kos because if you go to chios or lesvos its impossible to go to Cyclades. There is a line from kos which stops to many Cyclades islands such as Paros, Naxos, Amorgos. You can go to Paros and from there by a ferry calls (as i remember) Aposperitis you could go to Santorini. You ll love it. I m not sure if you could go to Mykonos from Santorini. Maybe you have to go to Syros first and then take another ferry to Mykonos. But there are a lot of travel agencies to help you. Its more easier than it sounds. Good luck
