Ola,

My girlfriends and I will be in Rio in September and are keen to make our way to Bahia. How long does it take to get from Rio to Bahia on the bus? Or is it better for fly there.

We are in Brasil for 2 and half weeks.

Obrigada,

It's a veeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrry long bus ride, about 26 hours +. With only 2 1/2 weeks, fly if you can. (Actually Webjet has some fares that are half the price of the bus.) Or you can take most of the 2 1/2 weeks and go more slowly up the coast, stopping at Porto Seguro/Arraial D'Ajuda and Ilheus/Itacare, among others.
