Hi All,

Arriving 1st November, Leaving 21st December.

I'm trying to fit in as much as possible, obviously the brilliant train system in India will help me keep flowing across the country quickly, but here goes.

Arrive Calcutta,

Up to Darjeeling (ToyTrain, Tea)

Across to Varanasi

Up to Nepal (Kathmandu)

Back to Varanasi (Ganges)

Across to Delhi

Down to Agra (Taj)

Over to Jaipur (Pink)

On to Rajasthan (camels in the desert!!!)

Jaisalmer

Down to Udaipur (Lake place)

Down to Mumbai

Down to Goa (beaches)

Down to Kerala (River Boat)

On to either Chennai or Mumbai to fly to Thailand for Xmas

What am i missing or do i have enough for 6-7 weeks?

ur schedule sounds gr8 and i believe u have covered most of the important destinations of India along the western and northern side.

Since u have already planned to visit Kerala, dont forget to visit Kanya Kumari which is the tip of India and confluence of three oceans. It is gr8 to stay there for a couple of days:)

Do let me know if u need any specific information

Cheers
Arif

One thing I feel you missed out are the temples of Tamil nadu... I would say, plan trip to Chennai... and you could visit the temples around before flying to Thailand... They are surely different than those of temples of the North India...

hi buddy,
I can see that u've ur plate full but lemme tell u that NORT-EAST INDIA comprising the 8states is one of India's greenest wonders with very warm people for hospitality. The NE region is steeped in the Himalayan foothills and the biggest city is GUWAHATI which is just a 45minute flight from Kolkata(Calcutta)...Guwahati is comparable to any mid-sized Indian metro city like Bangalore,Hyderabad,Jaipur etc.So if this info touches u,pls feel free to ask me more...
