I'm hoping to meet someone that could take a little pity on my ignorance of international travel and give me a little guidance in order to make a trip to Germany from Portland, OR USA. I'd really to meet a friend as oppose to a professioan tour guide and that would just seem to detract from the entire experience. Additionally, I really need to meet a friend that can speak fluent German/English as I have very little of Germany life, cuture or the language itself. All I really know, is that I want to go.
I would need some help with obtaining a passport/visa and anything else one might need. I'm a straight white male, 45, happy and successful but have always wanted to go to Germany and see some of the culture, history and basically, just experience it but with the roadblocks in pace it just seems to be such a daunting objective. My picture is on my profile and if there is anything anyone wants to know please do not hesitate to ask.
if you're visiting Hamburg aswell, you're welcome to contact me and i will show you around in my hometown.
I hope you will have a nice stay in Germany and you'll like what you see.
by the way : you don't need a visa for your hollidays in germany. but if you have any questions feel free to contact me.
I dont speak Germa, but your trip sounds interesting
you have any details in your head already?
Too bad i saw this post too late! I was looking for travel buddies around May and since i didnt found any, i decided to go by myself to China and Tibet! No regrets though, but it's much easier when you have a travel buddy!
I'm Carola, currently live in Peru, and travelling everywhere at least 5-6 times a year, most of the time by myself!
I do speak, Spanish, German, and English (also a bit of Portugues and Italian), and I'm ALWAYS looking for companion...
With that said, just letting you know that I'll be in Buenos Aires end of July and in Riviera Maya in October, so let me know if you are still planing some time off this year!
Hope your trip to Germany went well! Europe is an interesting place to visit (I lived there 3 years, Germany and Austria)...
