Post#40#.... I'm not making a statement - wherever did you get that idea from?? I'm just pointing out the fact that JW's and Mormons (or whatever they like to call themselves), are classified, classed (I dunno) as sects in GB. I don't do church etc. Sorry if that sounded like I was making some sorta statement. What's your point?? Cos I just don't see it.

One of these Latter Day Elmers tried it on with me a few hours ago. There was I, minding my own business walking along a suburban road five minutes from home when two of them were coming the other way and there is only one of me and there was nowhere to hide. If they are in town there are plenty of ways to avoid them. So the Mor(m)on came up to me and asked me some crud to which I said No thankyou and carried on. So he called after me, would you turn your back on Jesus Christ? Yes and you, you eejit, thought I. Overcoming my pissedoffness at being hassled for no reason I thought well if it was up to me I'd rebuke their visas and deport them back to Utah or wherever they crawled out of, but then I thought, well if they are here as tourists then they won't have visas, so that is all the more reason to deport them, because actively recruiting for a religious organisation counts as work in my work - not that I'd do it, unapologetic heathen that I am - but it is still work, whether or not they get paid for it, so not something that they should be allowed to do without a visa or even with a student visa. So next time, assuming I can be bothered wasting any time on them, should I threaten them with the immigration authorities and see if they understand?

"why did you europeans have to bring all this jesus crap to the americas? we were doing just fine for thousands of years with our own beliefs. But now all of that's gone. Was our land, and resources not enough? Are you not happy with only killing 95% of us? You have to force the rest of us into christianity? The only difference between you and the nazis is victory and defeat! You're worse than the Nazis!"

that's normally what I say when I get approached by a Jesus pusher. It's a bit strong but it's too the point...and unfortunately very accurate.

I'm not against jesus, from what I hear, he was a stand-up guy. but man do his followers have a lot of blood on their hands! (rimshot!) If they are trying to convert everyone... they need to stop laying down life lessons like they have it all sorted out and they need start apologizing!

Mormons who are doing their 2 year missionary period in the UK have visas to do this - reference link.

I got that from you making a statement. Well, it was actually contained in 2 posts you made:

In GB..... Mormons (or Latter Day Thingys) and Watchtower mag distributors are not recognised as religions.

Post #32# Piecar.... They're classified as sects.

But when asked about this classification you said:

I've no idea - ain't gonna spend time looking for the answers and really don't care.

It's unclear what you're saying.

Thanks for the link; now that's one law that really ought to be rebuked. I mean what are they contributing economically, that grants them leave to live on this overcrowded island? What skills do they have that can't be found here or even elsewhere within the EU? Nothing as far as I can see. There's a shortage of religious nutcases in Europe so that we have to import them from North America, in case, well in case what, we can't get by without them?
