Backpacking For the First time, Alone. Help!

Hey! So next summer(2010 not '09) I plan on going backpacking for three months in:
Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, London, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Dublin.
I'm a women, I'll be 18, and this is my first time backpacking. I need all the tips and advise you can give me!

That is too broad a question.

You'll get much better answers if you have specific questions, like "how much does it costs", "how do I get around on the cheap" "how many countries can I see in 3 months".

All I can add to this, so far, is that if you've 3 months and your budget allows it - you can see far more than the places (all pretty much on each other's doorsteps) you mention, in such a long space of time.

Every one of those cities is a Ryanair destination for less than £5.
