hello travellers,

I live in Greece and this summer I have decided to leave the swimming and the warm weather of my country for the shake of Argentina.

I will be there from the 13th of july to the 10th of august , that means that I will be travelling in the ''heart'' of the winter.
I plan to stay for a while to Buenos but then I want to go round Argentina and specifically to Patagonia and Tierra del
Fuego.

My main concern to be honest is the weather conditions during winter!!

Can someone tell me how is the weather like in Patagonia this time of the year? Will I be able to do some trekking?

What about ruta national 40? From the descriptions I read it seems to be a tempting route (dangerous maybe?)
How long will it take me to cross the west of Argentina from let's say Cafayate to Patagonia?
I will be travelling alone and probably use mainly buses to travel around .

I have to say Argentina is HUGE!!
