Hi all,

I'm looking to flight to Cairns one way around the 18th of Jan from London. The cheapest flight I've found is £559.80pp & the prices seem to be increasing.

Has anyone booked flights last minute and got a good deal??

Bit of a gamble. Usually the airlines have great deals if you book way ahead, but as things are bad who knows.

I like to take my chances and book early.

Try they have cheap deals to Oz. I saw a flight in September for 600RM (like 150pnd ) 1 way.
I'm sure there is plenty of competition. I have flown Airasia, but they are budget.....budget they are good, but I prefer Singapore Air any day...and pay the extra.

The economies everywhere are screwed, I don't think they are going to get any better soon, but airlines are trying to sell whatever they can to turn money over....I think I would bet on an early flight, chances are it is dirt cheap anyway. I took my first flight to Euprope in 1997 at $1500 rtn.......they are a bit cheaper now, it is a very tight business.
