One of the things that unfortunately wasn't fixed was these annoying double notifications every now and then. Argh! But yes, speed wise things seem to be way better. Typically overnight we'll be notified of x number of errors, but last night was the first time in ages that we didn't get any errors; woot!

I don't know if it's related but when I view this thread all the text is stretched out so it doesn't fit on the page.

I am using Internet Explorer 7.

That has to do with really long links being pasted into entries. Since those links aren't automatically 'broken off', they stretch the box they are in, which pushes the entire content out of bounds. I've fixed that page now by putting the links down as proper links with short link text. There's a few steps we can take to try and prevent this, but the steps can backfire by hiding other text which wasn't meant to be hidden. Seeing as it's relatively rare, and easy to fix, we probably won't try and fixes right now. This can be dealt with better in the upcoming redesign actually I think :)
