Gold Coast In June

Hi...anyone out there can help me..Planning and have already booked tickets to Australia Gold Coast on this 15thJune 09.As the current situation its flooding in brisbane & gold coast.So .........do u guys think that by the time i going there,there will be no more flood????

Hard to say of course, but the chance is extremely small.
It surprised me that this late during the year there was such massive rainfall and winds, normally the season ends somewhere in April, and especially the fact that it is more to the south compared to where most of the bad weather usually occurs.
I guess you will be fine though, things look pretty good after this weekend already!

Hi The weather is always very uncertain on the east coast of Australia... However this is the worst its been for years. Whilst it is lousy now in 2 weeks all could be good.

Flood waters are receding as I type, so you should be just fine in two weeks.
AND, in 1977 they had five floods in that area in the one year...so, you never really know!
I guess the beauty of travelling is embracing the unexpected - a flood may not be what you had in mind for your holiday, but it would be an unforgettable experience that you'll look back on "fondly" one day, while a beach holiday may fade in the memory banks...(trying to look on the bright side!)
