I never go this off topic realm. Until one of my thread was moved.

Okay, if you are discussing about CULTURE, which you experience while you are travelling as traveler in a travel destination with other travellers, how can that become an OFF TOPIC thread?

If I wanted to talk about Movies, Books, or my favorite song, I'd go to another forum.

Is the manner you write or the lenght of the text, a basis for something to become off topic?
Is it the tone of a text? I'm not in the mood to argue. And I'll never be with regard to moving of threads.

I'll get my writers block very soon, so it won't matter. Its just a bit messy, if you find a thread in OFF topic with responses that shows that it is a TRAVEL Talk.

People have different ways of expressing themselves in English. Its an international forum, and I hope we can have attract more people from ESL countries. But if we are going start having standards for something ultra subjective as the tone of a text, then we would have to wait for 10 years before our 1st Korean or East Timorese member signs in.

with regard to the "SEEMS like a Blog" entry. Whats wrong with that?

What is a scholarly essay to one person is just verbal diarhea to another. In an era, where blogging exit, it is a Paradoxical, that so many Americans and British students fail spelling exams. And I handled 6 English courses for college students, and I was shocked to learn that none of my students can write a simple essay about their PET.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME SOMEONE WROTE YOU LONG EMAIL??? with Figures of speech, proper punctuations, and a personal tone???

I assume its like a drug. My students ask me that all the time. Actually, I am the only person in all the companies I've work who has never done drugs. I have a natural high and I do get paid for it.

Just as one nutter leaves TP, another joins.

It's like a revolving door of walking fruit cakes.
